The colours used in the 2002 film Hero directed Zhang are symbolic and specific political message, the colour is also considered 'significant' in all scenes as it is based on mood.

The Colour Theory:

RED - Dominates first version of the story by Nameless, where he describes the calligraphy school, the attack in the Qin army ,the stabbing of broken sword and the fight between Flying Snow and Moon. 
 - traditional bridal color, expansive, blooming, dynamic, enthusiastic, reaching upwards, good luck, celebration, happiness, joy, vitality, long life; red purple brings luck and fame, money, recognition, propriety, creativity, joy vs. over excitation.

Five Elements: Fire; Direction: South; Season: summer; Condition: heat; 
Energy: expansive; Phase: full Yang; Development: blooming; Planet: Mars; 
Animal: winged, especially poultry; Heavenly creature: Vermilion Bird, (Red) pheasant; Fruit: apricot; Grain: beans; 
Action: sight; Sense: touch; Sound: laughing; Smell: scorched; Taste: bitter; 

 Green- This is the colour of the story that Nameless isn't too sure of. This covers the first meeting between Broken Sword and Flying Snow, this is also the scene of the failed assassination attempt. Health, prosperity and harmony. 

White-- This is the final colour, dominating both the deaths of Flying Snow and Broken Sword and alternating between the colour black in the palace. White is also the colour of mourning clothes in Asia, whereas in the Western Culture Black is the mourning clothes.

Amelie: French Movie

The Genre of the film Amelie is a comedy/ romance. It was released in the United States and was shown at the Chicago International Film Festival, Toronto Film Festival and Florida Film Festival as well as Los Angeles and New York. Amelie was shown in many different French and German speaking nations such as Canada, Switzerland, Poland and of course France. The film is available in only two languages French and Russian, it was also film in a lot of locations mainly Paris, France and Germany. The film had a budget of $77,000,000 estimated, on the opening weekend in France (2001) the Amelie received $496,031 and in the year (28, June, 2002) when the film was premiered in the United States Amelie $33,201,661. The overall run time for the movie is 122mins, the sound mixing was done by Dolby Digital, Amelie was available as a black and white movie or a colour.

Audrey Tautou is a French actress born in Beaumont, France in 1976. In her childhood she has showed interest in comedy and started going to acting classes in " Cours Florent" and in 1998 she won The Best Young Actress award in the Juene Comedien de Cinema Festival. The following year 1999 she won Best New Actress award at the CESAR, in 2000 nominated again for a CESAR. Tautou was almost not going to play the role of Amelie in the French film the director was initially considering the British actress Emily Watson for the role. Tautou speaks excellent English. In June, 2004 she was invited to join The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Scientist and she is still a member today. She became more and more successful as an actress that Chanel named her the Face of Chanel No.5 in 2009. Tautou has been in films since 1996 and has been consistent ever since, she has also appear in an American film The Da Vinci Code starring along side Tom Hanks as a supporting actress. More recently she will be staring in The Odyssey (2016).
